When should you scrap an entire system and start fresh? When is it enough to just get the existing components up to scratch? These are questions that every developer has probably faced at some point and both alternatives have certain advantages and disadvantages.
Work on the revitalization of the former “K.K. Telegrafen Centrale” (telegraph center) at the prestigious address of Börseplatz 1 in Vienna has already started. The old headquarters of the Austrian postal and telegraph service administration center will be turned into a luxury property with a total of 39 condos for people for whom the price doesn’t matter. As before in Graz, we helped with the digital staging of the building’s future.
Humans have been building things for as long as anyone can remember. Many different materials were used over the centuries and millennia. For a comparatively short time, we’ve also been using Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality as different kinds of “building materials”. But what are the advantages of using them and what can they be used for?
This is a question often posed by our clients. And when they ask us, I tend to answer “well, that depends…” 😉 You could compare the cost of an app to buying a house – you can get one for a relatively small budget, but you can spend a pretty large sum as well. So how is the cost for an app calculated and what influences it?
You probably know what these two words mean (if you’re interested in technology or follow our blog). Now, we thought it might be interesting to combine them and create something like an “augmented reality flight mode”. Thus, the concept for dronAR was born. But let’s be honest: we also had a lot of fun without the AR part.
It’s been a long time coming, but it is finally official – the lot at number 15 Burggasse, Graz goes to (…drumroll…): Argos! We are proud to have been called on to visualize the project associated with star architect Zaha Hadid with our expertise in Augmented Reality and to have helped make the ground-breaking ceremony a great success.
